The Unicorn Tradition is a teaching tradition. As a part of their training, each member receives and then participates in giving teaching across a range of subjects related to magick and paganism. At the early stages, introductory classes are offered to those who may or may not subsequently chose to join one of the groups. After that, there are classes that extend over several years covering a wide range of subjects. Part of the role of the Tradition is the preservation, development, and communication of this information for its own benefit and for that of others.
While not giving out information that has been passed in confidence, or that would not be ideally suited to training outside of a group setting, a number of teaching/study aids have been, and continue to be, developed. These books are written by authors who have years of practical personal experience, are practiced teachers who have worked with people on one-to-one and group teaching settings, and who have developed their skills and knowledge in a community in which the lessons and results are well tested. Indeed, many of these books were actually written for the internal use of the Tradition members for use in, or to complement, the teaching within the classes and have been used in this way for many years, with these newly released versions differing by only minor corrections and modifications. While no book can substitute for a teaching session in which things can be readily discussed, debated, and any gaps or misconceptions in the student's understanding addressed, these books offer information in a way that the authors think will best help the individual or group who do not have access to the type of teaching and support network an established Tradition can offer. The Journey Begins: The First Twenty-five Years of the Unicorn Tradition of the Craft
This is a very personal book, describing the history and some of the basic belief structures of the Unicorn Tradition. Compiled from contributions from many Tradition members for the 25th anniversary of its foundation, this book will be of interest to those who would like an insight into the nature and spirit of the Tradition, and the development of some of its branches. Subjects range from the serious in the form of accounts of early confrontation by other religious groups, to the light-hearted and amusing. While this book was produced by members of the group primarily for other members of the group, it will also be of interest to those considering joining this or a similar group, and perhaps those interested in the history of this aspect of the Craft. Auras are a part of us, and are frequently 'felt' or 'seen' subconsciously when we encounter people. Fly by Night: Understanding Projection and the Seven Planes
This book is about what most people call 'astral projection'. It is not called this in the title because most projection is not actually 'astral' – as is explained within the book. This is not a 'quick fix' or 'learn to astrally project in 10 minutes' book. While other books make this claim, they are not teaching a process which is robust or flexible. The only way to learn this skill is to understand it, and to work at it. This book works through the theory, and then in a series of graded exercises teaches the student the skills of projection. Written by the founding Matriarch of the Unicorn Tradition, who was herself highly skilled at this art, this is a guide intended for the serious student presented in a very clear and approachable way. The Magick of Incenses and Oils
Lady Galadriel, the founding Matriarch of the Unicorn Tradition, was perhaps most widely known for her expertise in Incenses and Oils, on which she taught courses, and other courses have been running for several years using this book (in its previous ring-bound form) as a course text book. This book contains literally hundreds of recipes, all tried and tested, with clear instructions for their preparation and the ingredients (and their proportions) as well as information on how to make appropriate substitutions if necessary. The sense of smell is closely keyed into the subconscious mind – and proficiency at this magickal art can transform each and every component of your magickal practice: be it astral projection, tarot reading, rituals, or meditation, and can greatly improve your sense of well-being and balance.
The Tarot: Esoteric, Psychological, and Divinatory Symbolism
There are many books on the Tarot, with almost as many different goals. This book is not specific to the deck that you chose to use. It covers the main concepts of the card meanings and correspondences. Written by Lady Galadriel, the founding Matriarch of the Unicorn Tradition, it takes a step-wise approach starting with how to find a deck that you will be happy working with, how to handle it, how to cut the cards, and a range of spreads to help you find the one(s) that you can most effectively work with. The basic meanings and correspondences of the cards are then presented, and then a range of tables presenting additional meanings and associations are given that can be used to start to build, develop, and use the cards in a way that communicates best with the reader, and lead them to the areas that they will find integrates best with their personal interests and understanding of the cards.

Pagan Children's Workbook
There are simply very few resources to help pagans to educate and make their children aware of the nature of their beliefs. This book covers basic concepts of the Wheel of the Year, the zodiac, the elements, the Goddess and God, and so on in a gentle and interactive way. It is broadly intended for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and it is primarily 'informative' rather than 'instructional'. This book was written by Lady Eliana, a priestess within the Unicorn Tradition, primarily because she wanted a resource and had failed to find one to work with her own daughter. It has been made available primarily for use in the setting of a pagan family, but would also be suitable for those wishing to provide their children with a basic awareness of what pagans believe.

Forging in Ritual Workspace
This is an unusual book, and should be the first port-of-call for those wishing to make their own forged ritual tools. The author is a practicing magickal blacksmith, a member of the Unicorn Tradition, and a more senior member of another magickal Tradition. Starting from the basics of how to find and build a forge at home, and the tools that you will need, this book teaches the essentials for becoming a magickal (or non-magickal) blacksmith. It includes a range of projects, probably the one of widest interest being how to fashion your own Athame – and to do so within a ritually-prepared magickal space. Another unusual feature of this book is that it provides instructions on how to clear unintended energies, and then establish desired energies within an Athame, Sword, or other magickal metal tool that has been bought or obtained from someone else.
