Blue Lotus Grove

I was born in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin in 1968. I was raised on a farm of 88 acres and lived with my mother, father, seven siblings and grandparents.  Life as a child consisted of tending the vegetable garden, playing in the woods, wild crafting fruit, berries and herbs and going to Catholic Church. I was enrolled at an early age in a Catholic school, were I studied and absorbed the ritual of Mass. As the years and my seminary education progressed I began inquiring about a deeper meaning of religion and ritual, but was left with many unanswered questions.

As a teenager, our family moved to Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I studied philosophy, the magickal arts and received a black belt in Kenpo Karate. Karate gave me an Eastern education into the philosophy of Zen and meditation. At that time in my life I also joined the Society for the Creative Anachronism and became a squire with Brian McBran. I learned the skill and art of working metal, leather, jewelry making and handcrafting “old world” items. My interest in the handcrafting of tools and the interest in the ancient ways led me to study the Occult sciences and ways of the Wicca.
     
I moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where I attended culinary school and became a chef with a focus on the magickal and healing properties of food. I continued to study and learn the way of the Occult and Wicca.

I purchased a small plot of land in 1996 which I turned into an organic farm. In 1997 I created Infinity Farm, A Natural and Spiritual Land Effort on which I grow over 100 magickal and medicinal herbs as well as a variety of vegetables and fruits.

Self-education in Wicca was not comprehensive, so I began to explore receiving formal training.  On one pivotal afternoon, I was shopping at the Sphinx bookstore and received a tip from Lord Alexander of the Grove of the Winged Scarab about a group that was offering classes. I contacted the daughter group (Grove of Phoenix Rising) of the Unicorn Tradition, and applied for classes. After being accepted in 1998 I joined and began classes. I continued with the Grove, receiving my First Degree, Second Degree, and in 2007 was raised to Third Degree. During my Third Degree initiatory process, I received spiritual insight and information from the Gods which eventually led me to begin Blue Lotus Grove.

Currently I live on Infinity Farm in Doraville, Georgia with my wife ONix and our son. I use the plants, trees and herbs to craft Wiccan and Magickal Tools. I am a member of Dogwood Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess.

Using the knowledge learned through the years, I am one of the leaders and High Priest of Blue Lotus Grove. I utilize the multiple aspects from the milieu to pass on the teachings from the Tradition and the very special gifts honoring the Gods and Goddesses.
