Phoenix Moon Grove
Austin, TX
Phoenix Moon was founded on the Full Moon in September of 1998 by Lady Selkhet. Phoenix Moon Grove is the first great-granddaughter group within the Unicorn Tradition; it hived from Earth Haven Grove, which descended from the Grove of Phoenix Rising (the Austin version) which was the first group to form within the Tradition outside of the Grove of the Unicorn. We study and worship in the beautiful Hill Country of central Texas in Austin. Our myths draw from many different sources from around the world, with an emphasis on drawing inspiration and symbolism from the land around us- giving rise to such things as the celebration of the Bluebonnet Moon in March, for instance. We are a close-knit group, and will periodically take on a few students for classes. Phoenix Moon Grove is a member of the Live Oak Local Council of the Covenant of the Goddess. Phoenix Moon Grove has an entry in the Harvard Pluralism project.
